Why Is There a Color Difference When Printing ribbon?

In addition to the manufacturer's development of new ribbon products, ribbons customer request ribbon factory to custom printed ribbons. However, no matter what the demand is, what the ribbon manufacturers are most afraid of is that they do not control the ribbon printing in large quantities, and the finished product has color difference. In general, there are four main reasons for the color difference of printed ribbons produced by manufacturers.

First, the process of printing ribbon used is different. Common ribbon printing processes include ink printing, thermal transfer printing, bronzing and silver stamping, etc., and different printing processes have different dyeing principles, dyes, and temperature conditions, and the causes of color differences are different. For example, the color effect of ink printing is related to the properties of the substrate, screen, and ink. If the mesh aperture of the screen is too large and too small, the size of the ink particles is not suitable. If a screen suitable for the substrate is not selected, then the ink printing After the effect is very unsatisfactory, the mesh is too large, the color is dark, the mesh is too small, the printed pattern can not even be formed, let alone the color.

Then, it is to choose the right material. Sometimes the ribbon manufacturer's customized printing ribbon is produced and printed according to the samples provided by the customer. However, when the ribbon manufacturer analyzes the color samples, they do not grasp the color tone properly, resulting in different reflected light.

Furthermore, there is a color deviation in the bottom of the printed ribbon. Since the printing ribbon manufacturer used dyeing to retain the bottom of the last batch of finished products during production, it is related to the effect of dyeing on the bottom of the last batch of finished products.

Finally, it is the characteristics of the ribbon. Manufacturers are producing substrates, that is, ribbons that are not printed and dyed. They need to control the printing environmental conditions according to the material of the substrates. For example, polyester ribbons and nylon ribbons require high-temperature dyeing. ribbon and bamboo fiber ribbon require low temperature dyeing.

So back to the original question, why is there a color difference in the printed ribbon? Different printing processes, different selection of materials, previous batch retention, and the characteristics of the substrate are all influential factors.
